Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics. ROTR also changes some of the game mechanics in order to create a unique and fresh experience. Examples include a technology progression system based around three tiers, a more fleshed out counter system between air and anti-air units as well as an additional emphasis on specialised scouting and detection units which serve to make stealth tactics a more viable option than they were in the original game. Beyond the gameplay aspect, the mod also brings many cosmetical updates, spectacular special effects and custom sounds and voice overs to the table.

The most recent version 1.85 was released in April 2015. Aside from adding many new units, special powers and visual overhauls for all five factions, the release was tied to the premiere of SWR.net, our very own online multiplayer service which is organically integrated in the ROTR executable and allows you to enjoy exciting multiplayer battles with players around the world via a virtual network.

The next major release version 2.0 will bring generals back into the game, allowing you to choose between 15 all-new sub-factions (3 per faction) that further capitalise on the tactical themes of their parent factions. Unlike Zero Hour where generals were chosen during the match setup,ROTR's sub-factions will be chosen in-game at the very start of the battle, as it was originally intended in the unreleased beta version of Generals. Thus, vanilla factions in the original Zero Hour sense will no longer be present in the 2.0 version. Additional features are currently planned to include two story-driven campaigns and a new game mode akin to Zero Hour's iconic Generals Challenge.

I have a question

With more and more impressive units being teased will there be a plan or if there are plans to improve/introduce more defensive structure for other factions aside
from ECA?

Pretty sure the answer is No.

Defence-oriented is an ECA unique design and remains only for them, other factions will only have access to basic defence AA+AG to provide a little security against their opponent.
They are not meant to play defensively as ECA does.

Oh boy more questions again

Does the Comanche only have two kits available to it? (Hellfire & targeting laser?)

I couldn't find the stream where the Prometheus was showcased, but how does it function closer to scud launcher or closer to the TOPOL?
Additionally whats the build limit for this unit?

I read back that the Neutron Bomber is now separate from the Smart Bomb GP, so does that mean that the Neutron bomber got its stats separated and upgraded (damage wise) and its CD timer increased?

The pillager can get recycler kits? Which ones?

Are all kits free? What's the difference of acquisition per faction? The only thing I remember back in the older stream is that USA has to complete a T1 upgrade for it's units

So Lotus gains the old Artillery barrage albeit modified, are there prerequisites in using this?
Additionally does this reveal lotus while casting the ability?
And Another, does the voice the over retained (from vanilla gen) and is it only audible to the user/player only?

Burton now destroys all remaining structures (gla holes/rus debris) now the SEAL c4 is weaker? How?

Can kits be added to infantry units? (Theoretical question not a suggestion)

What kits are available to USA unit for now? I have a hard time catching up on the recent changes to make a simplified list

So China will not receive it's own cruise missile capable unit as it is excluded like how USA does not have nuke capable units?

Does Pathfinders with silencers, jaeger with rifle and now partisans with silencers now no longer reveal themselves while garrisoned? (Like jarmen kell)

Now that the little bird heli has firing ports, was the model updated to indicate this? Like how neutral buildings have sandbags/barricades on them when garrisoned?

Are the open trenches built by ECA now neutral and can be garrisoned by any infantry (regardless of ally or enemies?

3 Stats are indeed separated, but are not adjusted yet. The only significant difference to date is that the neutron bomb can no longer as a mine. It detonates the moment it touches the ground
6 Lotus has the artillery from the get go, and it does not reveal her. Other players don't hear the voice queue, but they hear the firing sounds
7 Burton now destroys holes and debris. Seals don't. They don't one-shot buildings anymore, but they don't reveal when planting C4
8 Yes
11 The only unit that remains invisible in garrison is Jarmen Kell. No plan on changing that
12 Model doesn't change for fireports on the little bird. Just the texture shows open windows
13 Yes

The other questions were correctly answered by 8ft_Robot and NQIMNyannn6872

and for the USA unit kits known so far from test streams that i know of:
Humvee: TOW Launcher - Up Armour+PDL Drone - Grenade Launcher
Crusader: Hover Drive - Missile launcher cannon (similar to Kodiak's Refleks) - Anti-Air missiles,
Paladin: TUSK: more armour & additional PDL's - Railgun turret - CRAB: Assault gun and Mine plows.
Bradley: Fireports - Bigger gun & Flashbangs launcher - Tow Launcher (toggled?)
Lightning (formally Widowmaker) i think had 3 kits but i dont remember. gets a new stealth coatings FX.

worth noting that Combat drone gets missiles now and Targeteer drone now repairs it's host.

and for China their Airforce are quite kit heavy but aside from Supply Truck overhaul, no other kits for ground units as of now.
MiG's : ECM pod - Afterburners - upgrade for missile weapons?
i believe Hellfire MiG's also get kits, i dont remember aside from a GP locked tactical nuclear bombs kit.

GLA Hook Gunship: Helix style Fireports - A Grabby Hook for the Hook (collect scraps to give it repair aura) - Kirov Airship Style Bomber mode. also a cooldown ability to drop demotrap parabombs on target location.

1. They have 3 kits. The Hellfire Missile, Microwave Emitter, and Stealth, the last kit require a separate upgrade.
2. It has no build limit and fires like normal artillery (which means no manual fire).
3. Not know much about this one. But the stat will be decided when the balance phase comes.
4. Have 3 kits. 1 is Russian ERA, 2 is China Napalm Cannon, 3 is GLA Top mounted Rocket Launcher.
5. All kits are free and instant. Some may require an upgrade to unlock.
6. Lotus gets it from the get-go if I am not wrong and it seems the ability is not revealing her.
7. Maybe because Burton is a limited hero and Seal is a spamable infantry, it makes sense to buff Burton C4 and nerf Seal C4.
8. There is already an infantry with a kit, it was for Boris.
9. Multi-drone, Humvee, Crusader, Paladin, Bradley, Commanche, Atlas, and a new unit that will be revealed next time.
10. Can't answer this.
11. Can't answer this.
12. Not sure they have visual change when garrison.
13. Look like only Ally if I am not wrong.

not a dev but watching the test streams i saw:
the Comanche does get stealth as its third kit which needs Stealth Coatings researched to make it available, and the laser is the microwave beam, which looks like it will make the Commanche into a Psuedo-Cryocopter of Red Alert 3 as a flying disabler and infantry killer.

For the Prometheus, looks like Both? in that it has a normal attack and and other which gives it a neutron highlight under it when a special warhead is purchased like a Topol. (im probably wrong about this one and also want to know how it works)

Burton C4 killing buildings+holes while SEAL's C4 does not makes sense, hes a Hero unit while SEALs are buildable

Infantry Kits have been a thing with Boris so it seems the case.

I have 2 questions

How much percent is the new version?

Will it be a full version or Beta version?
