JBL's New Live Headphones Boast 80 Hours of Battery Life
JBL has expanded its popular Live series with the introduction of two new wireless headphone models: the over-ear Live 780NC and the on-ear Live 680NC. These additions bring a host of impressive features, most notably their extended battery performance.
Both headphones deliver an outstanding 80 hours of playback on a single charge during standard use, which reduces to a still remarkable 50 hours with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) engaged. Recharging is also quick, with a full charge achieved in just two hours. Users will appreciate the convenience of multi-point connections, allowing seamless switching between devices. For clear communication, each model incorporates two dedicated microphones enhanced by an AI algorithm to improve call quality.
Both the Live 780NC and 680NC support high-resolution audio streaming, whether connected wirelessly via Bluetooth or through a wired connection. They share a similar aesthetic, available in the same palette of seven distinct colors, though the 680NC offers a slightly lighter design.
A primary differentiator between the two models lies in their noise cancellation capabilities. The Live 780NC is equipped with six microphones dedicated to ANC, while the Live 680NC features four. This difference, combined with the inherent passive noise isolation of the over-ear design, suggests superior ANC performance from the 780NC.
Naturally, the enhanced features of the 780NC come with a higher price point. The JBL Live 780NC is priced at $250, whereas the JBL Live 680NC is available for $160. Both models are currently available for purchase, with shipments expected to begin by March 15.
