New regulations have been approved in Russia for fifth-generation (5G) networks. Starting from 2032, all traffic within Russian 5G networks must be encrypted exclusively using the national NEA 7 algorithm. Until this deadline, operators are permitted to utilize foreign standards such as the American AES, European SNOW, or Chinese ZUC; however, this transitional period will conclude thereafter.
