The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
A set of Quality of Life UI additions to inventory items. Many features that work well together with other popular mods. [Update 1.5: Weapon Icon Scaling and Alignment module added. Info in description]
This started as a couple small addons in my QoL Bundle but has since become a big project that I decided to merge together and streamline.
These UI additions are mainly script based and made to work well together with other popular mods.
Adds an item’s condition as a percentage number above their condition bar.
Knowing the precise condition of items can help speed up inventory management a bit.
Has MCM options for showing on equipped gear, hiding the condition bar of inventory items, and more.
(These are equipped items. The small dots are part condition indicators, explained below)
Adds a set of small dots that change color based on the parts of weapons, headgear and outfits.
For weapons the leftmost dot is always the barrel, the second is trigger, and the rest are sorted alphabetically.
This feature works well with the mods “Weapon Parts Overhaul” or "Outfit Parts Overhaul", or if you’re playing the EFP or GAMMA modpacks. WPO and OPO are great mods I recommend checking out.
Has MCM options for showing on equipped gear and using condition threshold colors like WPO.
(Here you can see both the condition percentage number and the part condition indicators)
Adds text with the short-name of the bullet on ammo items.
Depending on what item icons mod you're using, sometimes it can be hard to tell which ammo type is which at a glance. This should help with that.
This has an MCM option to color the text based on good/bad/old ammo.
(Long ammo names will wrap to multiple lines)
Adds text on recipes, notes and maps showing if you have read them before or not.
Now you don’t have to re-read these items to make sure you’ve read them.
In MCM you can enable showing a hint on PDA's that contain stash info. It's a bit of a cheat, so it's disabled by default.
If you’re using Mags Redux (or playing a modpack like EFP) this feature will remove the condition bar of magazine items and add text showing the short-name of the top bullet and the ammo count.
Shows the amount of money you gain from looting cash. Also works on cash stacks from the Lootboxes mod.
(The ~ symbol means it's an average of the random amount it can give)
Shows a faction patch icon and repair type of the body armor. Helmets shows repair type or a general type depending on your modlist setup.
Shows weapon name text and repair type icon
Equipped weapons with an icon too big for the slot they're in will have their icon scaled down to fit the slot.
Weapons with an attached silencer will have their icon scaled down and correctly centered so that the silencer doesn't extend out of the icon or equipment slot.
Each feature and their options can be toggled and adjusted in MCM. So make sure you check out the "Item UI Improvements" menu and set up the mod for your personal preferences.
The Weapon Icon Scaling module has an ltx file called 'utjan_gun_scaling' where offsets for silencers are set. These offsets account for empty space on the right side of silencer icons. If you use a silencer that seems to add empty space or extend outside the icon, you can edit or add the offset in that file.
If you add an offset for a silencer that wasn't in the file feel free to send it to me so I can add it for a future update.
I recommend using Mod Organizer 2.
Works on both 1.5.2 and 1.5.1
Safe to install or uninstall mid-save.
My other mod "Utjan's QoL Bundle" previously included "Condition Percentage Number" and "Part Condition Indicators". But they were updated and moved into this mod. If you have those from the QoL bundle, make sure to uninstall them before using this mod.
If you get a crash after updating this mod make a save without the mod installed first and then install the update.
As of update 1.4 this mod uses 'rax_icon_layers.script' file for some features. It is a common script used by many mods. You can ignore conflicts with this script, the files are identical.
In update 1.5 the 'Weapon Icon Scaling and Alignment' module was added. It is possible to deselect this module during install, in case any problems should happen, as this is still a somewhat experimental addition.
This mod is script based and made to be as compatible as possible with other UI mods.
Mainly tested with vanilla Anomaly UI and with Simplified Vision UI.
If you have a problem when using a different UI please let me know so I can correct it.
Having "Magazine Ammo Count and Bullet Name" enabled without having Mags Redux installed will not cause any issues or crashes.
If you toggle text/number backgrounds on/off in MCM they may display incorrectly for a bit. Reloading your save will fix it.
Don't expect this mod to work on all UI mods. Especially ones that significantly change layout of things like condition bars.

Awesome! The read and unread notes has been something ive always wanted. You rock
Ammo Box Short-Name Text - с этим ты меня опередил. я тоже хотел это сделать.
отличный аддон. спасибо за работу
thanks, very helpful 10/10
can we get a modular mo2 install like your other QOL bundle? amazing mod btw
Glad you like the mod!
But no. Having all the features in one mod streamlines the development for me. Use the MCM to toggle what features you want.
gotchya thanks for the fast feedback man, and i was testing. is the condition on gear a WIP for armor? or do they have to many parts to keep track of?
There were some issues with showing armor parts indicators. Didn't think armor parts were important, so decided not to work on that. I may look at it again for a future update if it's requested enough
the weapon part condition doesn't seem to work correctly with the Breakpoint UI mod; Moddb.com
previews;
equipped
Cdn.discordapp.com
unequipped
Cdn.discordapp.com
Yeah that UI rotates the bars on equipped items. Didn't know a UI did that. You can disable that feature in MCM for now. I'll try making it compatible in a future update
i don't need to disable it; it works fine with unequipped items; but it would be nice to have the compat :p
good luck with it if you do try, and stay safe !
me like
хороший аддон, спасибо Автор!
Is the ammo text compatible with custom huds?
Most of them probably
Thank you man, Amazing work, this is what I wanted! 12/10)
Hi. Thanks a lot for this mod! Could you please add an option to display weapon and armor condition in the HUD? I hate that I have to open inventory to check condition of my weapon/armor.
There are already some HUD mods that do that. I think SidHUD does it, so check that out
amazing qol and works perfectly on 1.5.1
It seems like the old Shotgun Dart ammo is bugged and shows its item id instead of its ingame name.
If an item doesn't have it's short-name properly set, that can happen.
ah darn, well at least I can disable ammo names in the provided MCM.
great features, just improves inventory management by a lot for me, the ammo counter for the mags has a nice font/ is sharp written i like that i can see actual bullet count going up and down instead of an roughly inreasing bar that indicates more or less the mag status!
these QOL aadd ons are top shelf life changing
Of course, I understand that all this is cool and practical, but the more options are included, the greater the load on the system, because. apparently the script is repeated cyclically while the inventory is open. I measured the performance drop with all options enabled by about 5%. This could be neglected if only this mod was installed, but a large number of mods that reduce performance just a little bit like this is already a problem, especially on my potato PC.
And one more thing: could you separate the option to turn on the rounds counter in the magazine from the option to display the name of the first round in the magazine? I just want to see the counter, but not the name of the round, which blocks off half of the magazine icon.
If the script is "repeated cyclically" it's because the your inventory is already doing that. I patch onto it to update the UI elements when the inventory does. There's no way to avoid a slight performance drop when adding features like this. Most people wont notice it.
I already added options to toggle Mag bullet count and name separately in update 1.1.
qol mods are just as important or more then mods them selves your 2 mods are pretty sweet
Need text to be larger, im playing on 4k and the text is too small for the Condition%
I don't think I'm going to make a patch or separate MCM option for 4k users.
But you can go to the configs/ui/ui_utjan_icon_info.xml file and switch the "arial_14" fonts with "letterica16" or "letterica18" for bigger text.
Thank you!
The condition of all parts shows 1% more than in the tooltip. But I don't know where is more correct, in your mod or in vanilla. Because often when installing a part into an armor or weapon on a workbench, the installed part also becomes 1% larger than the selected one.
Also, could you make it possible to completely remove the condition bar of equipped items when percentage condition is enabled?
My mod doesn't change part conditions. Some places Anomaly shows max part condition as 99. I don't know why.
If I remove the condition bar on equipped items most UIs will show an empty bar as part of the background anyway. So would only look worse.
--------------Possible bug/mod conflict.
When I use this mod and use "details" in right click inventory menu on a rifle it will cause the condition of the weapons parts to change and that will be updated in the condition "dots"
Essentially every time I use details on the menu the weapons parts conditions will swap/change and it will assign new values to them (the parts)
Can anyone else test this to see if it is just a me issue?
I disabled the mod and the bug stopped.
Thanks for the report. I noticed a similar issue during testing. Happened to a pistol on a corpse. Haven't been able to figure out why it happens. Seems to be partially a bug in vanilla Anomaly, that triggers when this mod reads the part conditions.
Luckily it seems very rare.
Dam for me it was happening every time without fail if I checked the weapon details.
Can confirm I have the same issue as 2-ton and it's pretty consistent. Playing on gamma, if I close-open inventory or right click see more my outfit parts change randomly, if I disassemble the parts given are the last values the mod changed to. Same happens on outfits inside bodies. Didn't noticed the same happening in any weapons.
Disabling the mod or the option to show part condition indicators on outfits/helmets on mcm fix the issue, outfit parts don't cycle anymore.
Hmm. While it's consistent that one item will keep doing it, I need a way to make it start happening on an item to debug it.
Howdy, loving the work and the demo on NullMoxy's vid, this is a masterpiece of a timesaver!
I goofed but I'm having difficulty understanding how/where. I installed this at the same time as the improved equipment icons mod, also featured in NullMoxy's best June mods. I played around with the order but I was unable to resolve it... the default ammo names still exist on the right side of each set of ammo when I enable YOUR ammo name display (shows up on the left).
I've got a base GAMMA install + no grass and lods, stutter fix, disable companion friendly fire & this mod. I saw other people had clean ammo names by using Maids Icons so I tried doing that in tandem w/ this mod and it wasn't doing the trick either. I read through your description and install instructions but the wording confused me so maybe there's a standard conflict I didn't follow? What am I doing wrong/missing?
Glad you like it!
This mod shows the ammo names dynamically with scripting, without touching the textures. The ammo names in Gamma are drawn onto the texture (image file) of the item icons. You can't hide the ammo names from Gamma unless you change the textures
Love all of your stuff but can you answer how to remove ammo icons from gamma which contains texts on them?
You'll have to edit the texture files. Better to ask on the Gamma discord
Have the same condition on EFP..."the default ammo names still exist on the right side of each set of ammo when I enable YOUR ammo name display (shows up on the left)..."
What needs to be done to resolve this? What mod is does this? Anyone know?
You'll have to edit the texture files of the mod replacing the ammo icons. Try asking on the EFP discord
Hi Mate, love your mods. One question - can you tell me specifically which two features you are referring to in this sentence "two first-mentioned features from the QoL Bundle"? For the life of me I can't figure it out. This is EFP 1.5.2 related.
On install (QoL bundle) you have the following options;
1. Show total uses
2. Fetch task shows your items
3. Weight of category
4. Scroll sort categories
5. Quick slot and Item Stack use priority
Full senetnece from description : "Remember to uninstall the two first-mentioned features from the QoL Bundle if you already have those. Those two features in this mod are updated with tweaks and bugfixes."
My QoL bundle used to include the top two features of this mod. The "Condition Percentage Number" and "Part Condition Indicators". They were updated and merged into this mod.
If you never installed them from the QoL bundle, you don't have to worry about it.
I'll word it better in the description!
I should have mentioned the I QoL_Bundle_v1.5. Apologies.
So there is no issue I need to worry about then.
Thanks for coming back to me.
what addon adds boots on the armor icons?
Maid's HD Icons
Just dropping by to say thank you for this and your other mods. I've been using them in my personal build for quite some time now and they definitely improve my experience! Looking forward to see what else you will have in store :)
Glad you like the mods! :)
I have a couple more projects lined up, but no ETA yet
