Tier One is a Tactical Shooter designed to put players in the role of Operators who are tasked with completing objective-based Operations & Missions. Missions are comprised of Planning & Execution stages which can be played cooperatively online with other players.
Welcome to the Tier One announcement post!
At the heart of it - Tier One is a Tactical First-Person Shooter designed around the concept of providing you with a series of weapons, gadgets, tools, and equipment allowing you to plan and execute tactical operations with with your friends.
Tier One is being built with a modular and customizable framework. The goal is not to make Tier One a complete game out of the box, but rather design a Tactical Framework with a steady flow of updates that add new gameplay features, environmental assets, character models, FX, missions, and a whole lot more.
While Tier One will be continually updated to add rich new content for years to come - the Editor content will be released along with it allowing users to make their own Missions and Mods to further customize their servers as desired.
Maps are designed as regions that are intended to be replayed and repurposed. Each Map is its own entity within the Editor that lays out the terrain, buildings, assets, flow, paths, and many other features you'd expect - while Missions are then layered on top as their own independent module that can be loaded in and out. This allows Modders to build out their own Missions and GameModes without having to start from scratch.

Missions on the other hand are operations that players can engage in to complete Objectives, Eliminate the Opposing Force, Defend a Region, or perform Intelligence gathering. Players can work together to form Squads, design game plans, and execute with a focus on tactical gameplay.
Players take control of elite Operators - these Operators exist within the player's Squads and can be killed, captured, or lost. Operators keep their stats independent of each other, showing their service history of kills, mission success, achievements, and injuries.
Whenever an operator is KIA that operator is lost permanently and no longer able to be deployed. Severely injured operators will be decommissioned for a period, and those with injuries will need time to heal before being redeployed with full health.

The Opposing Forces (OpFor) within Tier One are the Enemy Combatants that players will face off. The OpFor are various factions, militants, and armies that exist that may provide conflict. These factions feature different weapon loadouts, tactics, and difficulty.
OpFor are Mission/Region specific and range from Guerilla Warfare fighters to Tactical Squads depending on their configuration. Allowing missions to provide various types of gameplay based on the overall concept or challenge.
Currently Tier One is in an early proto-typing stage and the framework is still being laid out. Development Updates will continue as Tier One goes through its journey from Concept to Actualization! Posts will be used to both provide updates, as well as DevBlogs providing insight of the behid-the-scenes work going into the project.
