Let me introduce you to a story-driven RPG with an open, seamless world and a first-person view. The game uses long-known game mechanics, but their combination and specific implementation is quite unique. Crafting system like in Fallout 3 and 4, character development like in Morrowind, the survival system is like in Fallout 76. In this case, we are not talking about copying or imitating these projects.
Survival mechanics are not the core of the gameplay, they are added in order to even out the dynamics by creating additional gameplay loops. Food and drinks that a character prepares according to culinary recipes not only replenish thirst and hunger scales, but also provide a significant increase in combat characteristics.
The overall reserve and recovery rate of stamina play an important role. It is spent on running, jumping and attacking, and in real-time combat it works like action points in turn-based combat. If a character is tired, hungry, and/or thirsty, his combat abilities are severely limited. When your stamina is at zero, it is impossible to attack or flee. Raw foods do little to satisfy thirst and hunger and can cause illness. For a comfortable game, you need to use food prepared according to recipes.
The game has a context-oriented interface, thanks to which all the most varied actions are performed in one click, without additional pop-up menus.
The game also has an original system for applying and developing scientific skills. Each item in the game contains two types of information: some obvious property, accessible at a quick glance from afar, and some special detail, accessible after using a scientific skill. This detail is only revealed when the character's skill is high enough. Thus, the world around us seems to be in dialogue with the main character and contributes to the development of his intellect. The more important the secret contained in the item, the higher the skill required to reveal it. This could be a small hint, or it could be new knowledge that is critical to moving forward in the plot.
The general meaning of the game is time and resource management. The effects of food and drink are temporary, food is susceptible to spoilage, and any work or travel also takes time. It is necessary to use resources rationally, use the refrigerator and prepare food with a long shelf life.
