Community Fixes Required:
Additional Installation Instructions:
- Run the unmodded game normally, should run in DX8 mode as intended
- Close the game. Go to the \Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData\Movies directory and delete both lecintro.avi and nvidiaintro.avi. These are known to cause instability on launch with Remix
- Navigate to \Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData\System and install both the d3d8to9 wrapper and the latest RTX remix build at the same time. If you did this successfully, you should see d3d8.dll, d3d9.dll, and the .trex folder in the same directory as SWRepublicCommando.exe
- Place the attached rtx.conf file in the System folder with everything else.
- Launch the game to ensure RTX Remix hooks. If you see the Press Alt+X to open Remix menu popup and can get to the main menu, you're good to continue to the next step
- Close the game and install the Republic Commando Fix mod by extracting all files from the SWRCFix zip file into the \Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData\System directory.
- Run the game from the CT.exe executable. Once you're at the main menu, go to your graphics settings and turn all settings back to Low except for the character and texture detail settings, which can be maxed. Disable the the helmet in settings as well as the tactical visor for the least visual issues

Notes:
- Keep in mind the rtx.conf file is a WIP and there are some known visual issues. The game should be somewhat stable, but for levels beyond mission 1 you will likely need to manually tag lightmap textures in the RTX Remix overlay.
