Seeking Talented Pixel Artist for Passion Project: Urban Harvest Thread

I'm HxC_Hermit, an indie game developer deeply passionate about creating unique gaming experiences. I'm currently working on Urban Harvest, an ambitious project blending tactical combat, farming, and base-building in a near-future dystopian city transformed by a mysterious event known as "The Bloom."

About the Project:

Urban Harvest invites players into the shoes of Alex, a former botanist and survivalist. Sent by a caravan of survivors, Alex must uncover the secrets behind "The Bloom," gather crucial resources, build and defend a base, and face off against mutated creatures. The game promises a rich narrative, engaging gameplay mechanics, and vibrant pixel art environments.

Current Progress:

I’ve been focusing heavily on developing the story and attempting to learn pixel art to create placeholder assets before I was going to dive into the coding. Check out my blog to see my progress so far

What I'm Looking For:

I'm seeking a talented and passionate pixel artist to join the team and help bring Urban Harvest to life. Here’s what I need:

• Assets Needed: Character sprites, environmental tiles (grass, flowers, trees, etc.), UI elements, and possibly animations.
• Commitment: Regular collaboration and communication. Ideally, someone who is dedicated to the project and has the time to contribute meaningfully.

What I Offer:

As an indie project, I currently cannot offer upfront payment. However, I am committed to a fair profit-sharing model:

• Profit Sharing: All profits will be split down the middle. If we bring in another team member, profits will be split evenly among us.
• Crowdfunding: We aim to launch a crowdfunding campaign to secure funds for development, and any funds raised will be split according to our agreement.
• Partnership: This is a partnership, not just a one-time gig. You’ll be a core part of the development team with a significant role in shaping the game's visual identity.
• Rights to Artwork: No matter the future direction of our project, even if we form a company, the rights to your artwork will always remain yours. This ensures that you retain ownership and control over your creations.
