Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven RTX 0.1 file

Steam/GOG (1.2) version of the game is supported in any language, 1.0 does not work

to install, just copy the files to the game folder (this is the folder where you have a1.dta, a2.dta, etc.), you need RT-compatible GPU

Before playing, turn off shadows in the game settings (esc - settings - audio and video - shadows to very low)

if the mod does not work, make sure that your Setup.exe settings are correct: fullscreen, triple buffering, truecolor, and hardware transformlighting in expert settings, low detail and compressed must be turned off
if the game does not respond to changes in setup.exe, make sure that setup.exe and game.exe are run as administrator

By pressing alt+x you can edit the remix settings, for example, turn on/off the sun, change sky brightness, color correction, etc.

useful settings that will definitely come in handy:
sky brightness: Game setup - parameter tuning - sky tuning - sky brightness
sun toggler: Game setup - parameter tuning - fallback light - always/never
fog: Rendering - Froxel... - volumetric lights - transmittanse measurement: the less, the more fog, i think 500 is the optimal fog
color correction: Rendering - post processing - tonemapping
motion blur: Rendering - post processing - post fx

if noise bothers you, then use Ray Reconstruction, but keep in mind that it blurs the picture a lot, I don’t like it. At the moment, denoise in Mafia does not work correctly
there is also eye adaptation, but it adds a lot of noise: Rendering - post processing - auto explosure
