High ranked stalkers are true professionals and natural born killers, their vision is adapted to darkness as they're it's children like Bane from dark knight.

sorry but this doesn't make any sense.

they're human like every stalker in the zone and they surely wouldn't let their eyes get tired in the darkness when they are in a safe area.

also i like the feeling of being in the night watching stalkers walking with their flashlights and i think the devs disabled this functionality for the sake of this particular feeling

The main problem is killing NPC on endgame feel cheesy if you can see their headlight and anticipate their presence, to make it more easy player can see nightime using NVGs, thats the issue im tackling right now, to make night time combat harder.

reter, it's supposed to be a joke actually. Which doesn't denies the great concept of this mod, that I've already downloaded and rated with 10.

But! If you wanna dive deep in this thread, then there's no such thing as "eyes get tired in the darkness" because your eyes are ACTUALLY adapting to poor lighting conditions, you will distinct more objects in night after some time.

Also, if you wanna go even deeper, then i'll tell you that in war conditions (place where all your systems work at extreme levels) all of your senses will give much more huge amount of information about environment that you won't even imagine in civil life. All primal instincts are receiving green light because you have no second chance, quick saves and reloads.
It's not my fantasies, that's just how your body works, i heard it from guys that been to all these things, and you can make sure by yourself, there's always some war going on in this world.

Your comment just gave me the idea that there should be an artifact that gives night vision

Would be good.
But i doubt someone will do it as modmakers are busy with their addons.

the point is to emulate NPC using NVG's and see through darkness, the only problem is it doesnt have world model like the headlight does

Would it be possible to add a world model of some NVG's? I could port the models for it

yes, someone already made a model for heatvision but only to actor/player model only sadly

Damn, I'd love to know if there is a way to place that model onto NPC's.. The Stealth addon makes it so they're given a green particle effect on their heads, so I would believe it's possible to make them use NVG's? I tried making my own script but didn't manage to make it work :/

Thanks for pointing out my addon for Heatvision. Unfortunately, I'm apparently too stupid to post it here in Anomaly. Yes, I was also thinking about how NPC's can use the Thermal Visor.
Unfortunately, that's not easy. But I haven't given up yet. It should work in practically the same way as the headlamp. But I haven't figured out yet what command to give that high rank stalkers should use the Themal Visor instead of the headlamp. That is the actual problem. And unfortunately I'm not that good at writing code.

Nahh its okay because the mod is actually an accesory, if you could do the same but with other 3 NV that would be great. NPC vision already been resolved by using stealth mod.

Ok, but is the thermal visor visible on the NPCs? That's what matters to me.

i just want to add nvg as an object to existing model, without any modifications on acripts or anything else (avoiding any incompatibility on mod pack that i use (EFP)) and im using AZETRIX's model, well, it should have the same name as dux's bc its replacing vanilla's model..but i dont know which is which haha

nvm, ill make it somehow. thank u for responding! and cool mod u made, opening up new possibilities to game play, keep up the good work!

p.s. it would be nice if some scripts or function to make npc with nvg to actually turn it off and on (need additional armor models for on and off models) just like with head torch

Great mod, only suggestion would be to check if NPC is in combat, so they can have their headlamp on *until* they get shot at, at which point the would turn it off.

I edited the file and made it the opposite. I figured, the newbies are too poor to afford a flashlight, and the veterans are so confident in their gear and ability that they don't care if they can be seen at night. Frankly, they invite the danger.

Also, less flashlights at night helps with my FPS lol.
