As part of a classified strike team created to deal with threats no one else can handle, your mission is simple: Eliminate the intruders at any cost. Determine the origin of the signal. And contain the crisis before it spirals out of control.
F.E.A.R. is Monolith's ultra-high, gorgeously stylized horror game putting you in control of a special operative on one scary operation.
Critical Condition is definetly a Heartproject - That's why it was never released.
Some Years ago i was working on a more simple Version of Critical Condition and some time later it got more and more ambitious. Then there was a cancel because of time and no idea what to do with it.
Coronavirus came and i got hooked again working on that old ass editor and now i created even better environments and the gameplay is now better too. It's at a quality stage where i can say (i want to continue...)
Still - I don't want to make the same mistake again so there will be NO Releasedate for now.
I only can say that i'm working on Critical Condition BUT only when i have some free time.
Your Name is Jacob Harvey, you are on your way to search for a hidden Factory in the deep of Red Forest.
Your Mission is to check out the area and understand whats going on. Don't expect a AAA Storywriting. The Story is telled through Environmental Storytelling rather than Characters or Voices. The Main Focus is the Atmosphere.
Yes.
Yes.
At this point you will need Crysis 2.
You will need either a Crysis 2 Version updated to 1.9 or the Steam Version alias "Maximum Edition"
Crysis 2 Remastered is not supported.
TBD.
Thanks to anyone who can help!

[PC] FEAR 1 + Extraction Point - ENBSeries + FXAA Tool Graphics Mod (1080p, DEMOPLAY) Author: PS2CodeGamer Editor: death_dealer Hi, I have finally posted...
It would be nice if someone ported over the content that is exclusive to 7th-gen console (PS3 & Xbox 360) versions of FEAR to the PC version.
Great game, though the name should have been A.C.T.I.O.N. instead, there isn't much that can scare you here.
I think it is more about the ambiance and the combat tension.
Not sure about combat tension but the ambience is meant to be the main source of scares for sure. Still, it's not really a horror game, it's an action FPS with mild horror elements. I sometimes see this game on scariest games lists and wonder "did they even play the game?"
You are right but still some could think there is something creepy about the way 'F.E.A.R.' presents itself, which may paradoxically be a sideffect of how the game is rendered by the engine, picked up and evolved by devs later on. On the other hand, the kung-fu gun-ho does not help combat tension, even though it is interesting for sure.
Are there any F.E.A.R. modding communities out there? Just curious.
Yep
Real sad to see the modding community die down. Feels almost like F.E.A.R. is gonna hit some kind of obscurity sooner or later...
Monolith needs to release the source code so the community can at least breathe some new life into the game. Fixed multiplayer with the game, coop support, modern hardware support, bug fixes, proper widescreen support, and so on.
Yeah you'd think by now around this games 10th or 15th anniversary that the developers would've released the Source Code already like others have with their older games. ¯\_('.')_/¯
Maybe we could contact one of the lead developers by EMail or start a petition campaign?
Yes, it's sad that about F.E.A.R. few people know and few lessons on the level editor.
I found English lessons this week.
There, the person resumed work and after 2 years in 2022. made a lot of short videos on how to do different things in the editor.
I tried the editor, I liked the level limits there are quite large, which is good)
But it's bad that there is no normal documentation in the form of detailed articles on how and what is in the editor and how to create your own single player mod.
