A new randomizer for the classic Resident Evil games for PC. Supports sophisticated door randomization, key item placement, randomized non-key items, randomized inventory, randomized enemies, randomized NPCs with matching random voices and random background music. All highly configurable and easy to share seeds and configurations. The randomizer currently only supports the Sourcenext port of Resident Evil 1, Resident Evil 2, and Resident Evil 3 with the Classic REbirth patch. Visit biorand.net for more information. Please report bugs using the "Report issue with this seed" link in BioRand.

Hey, first I want to thank you for such an awesome randomizer mod.
I just have one question. Is there a way to just update using a patch instead of downloading the whole thing? I tried to keep up with it, but with short time frame of updates and at least 1GB zip to download, it kinda spoil the fun for a bit, since I need to keep downloading the whole thing again and again.
If there's a way, can you explain how to do it?
Thanks in advance.

You can find everything you need at Biorand.net
This is very cool and I tried some of the available ones.
(I haven’t checked this particular version 3.1.3 yet)
I have all three Resident Evil installments installed from the Classic REbirth.
In the previous two versions of this application, an error occurred when trying to replace Jill with someone in the third part of the game.
In the second part, in the cut scenes that accompanied the transition of character control from Leon and Claire to Sherry and Ada, there was a visual replacement of character models (for example, Sherry was replaced by Kendo)and subsequently the gameplay for these minor characters was also replaced (Sherri was Kendo , but with Sherry's animations)
From the application settings, I replaced only the main characters with specific ones, no randomization of characters, replaced zombie models with models from the third part (in the second part of the game I never liked the models and sounds of zombies), replaced the alligator with a mutated caterpillar ("graboid" hehe) from the third part of the game, and also replaced the music (I don’t like the music in the second part of the game either).
From wishes, for the future, if technically possible:
1)“Pull out” the original high-quality and sexy model of Regina from the “Dino Crisis” of the Classical REbirth and introduce it exactly for all three parts of “Resident Evil”. At the moment, we only have Regina cosplay from Jill and it is not very high quality.
2)Add a Hunk model which could be called Hunk RE2R (matching the remake version where possible)
3)Add Hunk for an optional replacement for Chris in the first "Resident Evil"
4)Add the ability to replace sounds: zombies, other monsters (if they differed in different parts) precisely by points to choose from for each part of the game, for example, I want to play “Resident Evil 2”, the choice of replacing zombie sounds is given: “zombie sounds ( from footsteps to groans, everything in general) from Resident Evil 1" or "zombie sounds from Resident Evil 3". I choose some pack of sounds from the two provided for zombies (or maybe even “Code Veronica” if you want to adapt it and this is technically possible, but with a separate mark, of course). If I chose the sound pack from the first part, then female zombies will also sound like male ones (after all, in the first part there were only male zombies).
In this mod, Wesker's alternate costume is the original Hunk model from Resident Evil 2. You can see it there in the "images". Just in case this helps you when implementing Hunk to replace Chris in your randomizer.

Not only is the "Mr. X" model replaced by "Nemesis", but its theme + voice acting is also introduced.
I use this option when I want to make a replacement.
