The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.

In MCM under DAO you have options you can tick to remove the old anomalies from the game and make a clean save.
Do that first, remove old DAO from Mo2 and then install Arrival - Anomalies.
In case you already messed up, follow these instructions to make sure your save is clean and ready for Arrival:
0. Remove Arrival and turn back on Dynamic Anomalies Overhaul.
1. Turn on debug mode.
2. Open your game.
3. Load your working save where you played with old DAO
4. Go in MCM and under "DAO" tick those boxes for disabling and removing anomalies, and the box that makes a clean save after anomalies are removed.
They are named like this:
- Save Game After Anomalies Removal
- Disable New Anomalies
- Delete Dynamic Anomalies
5. Don't save or leave game.
6. Go to another area, just walk until you leave the area you are in right now
7. Once in another Area press F7, and on right upper corner under "Execute Action" find "spawn psy-storm" and click it.
8. Find a place to hide and wait for the game to save automatically
9. Once it does, quit the game.
10. Uninstall DAO from Mo2.
11. Install Arrival choosing whatever options you prefer.
12. Start your game and load that save the game previously made for you during psy-storm.
Visual quality does not come without a price.
Arrival Anomalies is an aberration of anomaly visuals and behavior that provides new experience and fresh change to gameplay and games environment.
This mod is built upon on themrdemonized Dynamic Anomalies Overhaul mod with complete alchemization of audio, visuals and behavior of each anomaly DAO contains,
and on top of that the same changes were applied to some of the default ones.
I have also added couple of new anomalies to the pool (and some hidden ones) for you to discover.
This mod will work with GAMMA, EFP and Default Stalker Anomaly as long as it's placed at the bottom of the load order (Highest Priority).
For both GAMMA and EFP it will replace some files but that's okay because it contains the same stuff.
Arrival - Anomalies contains " Arszi's Radiation Overhaul" demonized edition from GAMMA aka "gamma_dynamic_radiation_areas_from_arzsi", so if you're using that it will replace the file with mine, which has a bit stronger radiation fields.
It is highly recommended to play Arrival with "Spatial Anomalies" Mod by Helloworlder,
it can be found here: Moddb.com
it will enable you to use teleport anomalies which can be found in Cordon, Red Forest and Limansk.
Patches are already integrated so the only thing you have to worry about is next step:
Spatial anomalies mod must be in LOWER priority than Arrival and if you decide to use it,
you must run your game THROUGH LAUNCHER, or THROUGH GAME EXE directly.
Running the game with Mod Organizer is OK as long as you don't use any scripts for disabling core zero and similar stuff that's being launched before exe of the game.
I REPEAT: If you plan to use Spatial Anomalies mod with Arrival, in Mod Organizer you must select Anomaly Launcher or game exe directly. If you don't plan to use Spatial Anomalies mod with Arrival - you can run your game however you like. Thank you NLTP_ASHES for explaining to me how this can work.
There is a lot of bonus stuff in the installer and there will be a lot more to come, and from same reason it is worthy to mention that Arrival is meant to be played with "Flying seeds and leaves" that can be found in this installer.
Flying Seeds add a new layer of immersion and depth to the game's environment.
By introducing a swarm of floating flora seeds that drift and spin through the air,
players will feel like they are truly navigating a 3D space.
Flying seeds create a mesmerizing and ethereal effect, as if the player is moving through a dreamscape.
Enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the game, they also add a sense of dynamism and movement to the environment.
As players navigate the world, the seeds will constantly be swirling and shifting around them, creating a sense of constant motion and activity.
In all, flying seeds make the game feel more alive and realistic, capturing the magic and mystery of the Zone.
My advice is choose "Seeds and leaves" as leaves are a great addition too, and if that is too much you have options for less seeds or no leaves, or just leaves or whatever you would like. There's option for everything and everyone.
Encyclopedia now contains very detailed descriptions for each anomaly including some lore stories about them.
Installer now has 3 radiation strengths for you to choose from.
There is a lot of stuff encompassing this mod, over all just for the Anomalies alone i have created more than 700 particle effects. It will take a lot of text to explain everything so i will just let you discover the magic of it by yourself.
And before i forget, for those who asked about trailer music it can be found in Mod folder. I have exported both reveal and release trailer songs into FLAC format and you are free to do what you like with them, as long as you credit me.

- Fixed Performance issues with "Springboard" Anomaly.
- Updated "trader_autoinject.script" to the latest version.
- Removed Dynamic Collision from Gravitational Anomalies = FPS++
- Removed all Physics based effects and replaced them with similar anims.
Some GPUs couldn't handle it so it had to be removed. Those who were affected by the problem will get a lot more fps now, those who were not affected will get few fps more.

- Added 2 more alternations of Teleport Anomaly to the installer. More "Skins" to choose from.
- Added an alternate Weak gravitational Anomaly that's easier to notice and hits fps a lot less. Can be chosen in the installer.
- Added 50% Particle amount option to each and every option of environmental particles in the installer. Huge Performance boost while still keeping the effects nice and visible.
- Fixed "Thorn" invalid .ogg comment.
- Added folders with alternate sounds for "Thorn", "Shatterpoint" and "Ghost" Anomaly. They can be found in their dedicated folders. Example: gamedata\sounds\semitone\anomalies\thorn\Alternate. Choose your sound and replace it with the one found in, example: gamedata\sounds\semitone\anomalies\thorn

- Added 2 more alternations - (Skins) for Electra Anomaly to the installer. Each having its own sounds. links for video previews can be found in fomod installer on the beginning of description for each anomaly.
- Revisited almost all anomalies lowering number of active elements, and effects particle count on each without significantly damaging visuals, and thereby increasing the overall performance.
- Slightly redesigned one of (secret) anomalies so it has smaller impact on performance.
- Old "50%" choices are now the default option, new 50% has much less active seeds and leaves lowering impact on performance.
- Added new option "Seeds and Leaves - ULTRA", some machines can handle it without any problem - some will suffer FPS loss.

- Ghost anomaly can now spawn phantoms thanks to the help of NLTP Ashes.

- Added 13 new Geiger counter alternate sound options to the installer.
- Added 2 new particle effects for Generators map, default and potato version with a lot less rocks and effects. This will be "part one - version one" of the work on that map.
- After 5 days of search finally located generators sound - replaced the center antenna sound with new audio.
- Optimized "Electra (Aggressive v2)" and added "Electra (Aggressive v2) - No Sparks" skin to the installer. A performacne friendly version of aggressive v2 but without sparks.
- New sound for Seed anomaly. Also an alternate sound can be found in "gamedata\sounds\semitone\anomalies\seed\v2" for a user to replace the new default one if he wishes so.
- Optimized Zharka anomaly even further and added new blowout smoke/dust effect.
- Optimized CDF anomaly and added new "lifting leaves of ground" effect during blowout.
- Polished 'Electra Aggressive v2' anomaly.
- Halved the performace impact of Strong Gravitational anomaly and upped the number of rocks and leaves while still keeping impact at -50%
- Spatial bubble anomaly performace impact lowerd by 30-40% on 'Black Mesa' skin.
- Added "Anomaly Idle Light" options to the installer for Electric and Acidic anomalies.
- Lowered distance of Electra idle sound
- Seeds and Leaves (ultra) got a big polish; lowered the performance impact by A LOT.
Made the area around player in which they spawn much larger so the player cannot run out of it,
and since the area is wider i upped the number of seeds and their and lifetime to 16 sec - making them a lot more noticable.
Added one more layer of flying leaves time independent from others so you will see leaves more often without big impact.

In MCM under Arrival put sliders of "Anomaly Zone Radius to 130" and "Minimum Distance Between Anomalies to 25". You probably moved sliders so the game spawned too many anomalies.

the trouble is that my 12-core processor cannot process all these particles normally due to engine limitations (single-threaded)

Probably you tried already but disabling core zero help a lot, check discord for instructions. Using process hacker is also great as it allows you to move applications that are always on and using resources to other cores, so your core 2-3 are as free as possible.
Lol, i tried to disable core 0 in process lasso, but now, the game loads core 1 at 100% xd
It's the normal behavior if you disable core 0. So it remains free to run Windows kernel stuff and your core 1 will be busy with the game engine only.

everything looks amazing, but I would like to be able to reduce the radiation level in the anomaly :)
That i am almost certain has nothing to do with this mod. Radiation fields are all in normal levels, even on highest difficulty you shouldn't die like that. Unless you crossed paths with some anomaly totally naked, while being irradiated, and drunk, smoking a cigarette.

hmm.. me too. Weird because it was working- I uninstalled, installed less seeds..not working now, will look more into it later (properly uninstalled DOA first)

Loving what I see so far. As a couple others have said it certainly hits the FPS in some areas where the particle effects seem higher than previously before (Looks fantastic though)
4k textures are completely unnecessary but i still included them, feel free to play without them - you won't notice the difference. In MCM under Arrival put sliders of "Anomaly Zone Radius to 130" and "Minimum Distance Between Anomalies to 25" this should make sure you don't get too many anomalies spawning on smart terrains which can cause FPS drops.

The 4K textures isn’t the issue, it’s most likely the particles group optimisation. Too many particles in a single group and you’ll 20 FPS.
Nah, they probably either mess with the sliders and spawned too many of them or are legit playing on calculators from 1980. The only anomalies whose particle groups can't be 'that' optimized as they would lose their visual identity - have their textures compressed to the level of smudge. Those containing high number of particles have physics etc completely taken away so they don't hit hard.
To be fair dude... we have people in here reporting massive frame drops on 3xxx/4xxx Nvidia cards....
it's been partly solved, download new version and try with that. It was so weird because i get people playing on way worse machines with 4k textures and all included saying it works perfectso i knew something was fucky out of the ordinary. In the end it seams some gpus can't handle dynamic collision of gravitational anomalies. i disabled that and polished it a bit so it doesn't look crappy. They are reporting +10-15 fps.
All I can say is I appreciate your dedication and trying to find a good compromise of performance + visuals.

9600k+RTX3070Ti and i have decent fps (usually around 80) with this mod on, plus other 178 other mods and the game with fairly high setting on 1440p :D and i just updated today, so far i was playing with v11

It will work with any VFX.
Good question, as I'm running VFX as well.. maybe that's why my FPS was a little weird.

Don't install 4k textures, you won't notice the difference. Not installing "Seeds and Leaves" will also help but take away an important visual element form the mod. Maybe go with "Less seeds" option and se if it helps. I will see to try optimizing it a bit more but there's not much left to compress and take away without visually degrading anomalies.
