The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
If you ever wanted to see how actually beautiful the 9x39 weapons could be, such as the OTs-14 Groza, AS Val, VSS Vintorez, 9A-91, VSK94 and SR-3M Vihr, then this mod is for you.

9x39mm Weapon Family Beautification.
This is a simple mod that changes the textures of almost all guns that use 9x39.
The idea is simple: Improve the textures of all the 9x39 weapons that needed it, whether to make it look beautiful but worn like an "Unkempt Beauty" or to have it look almost pristine.
All textures are properly compressed at DXT1 and DXT5, using Compressonator, this means that the quality loss with DXT1 is the same as DXT5 (So, better, with the benefit of lower size which means lower loading time and chance of stuttering).

- Improved the texture by removing the ugly dirt, making bright parts (such as the bolt itself) be actually bright, and adding better details.
--- Completely redid the bullet texture, it now has actual details. (I based it upon the SP-6, with blue bright tips for identification)
- Fixed the bumpmap and added some new details.
--- Also improved the specular, polymer has very little shine compared to the metal.
- Fixed up the Silencer's normal map, it was broken. Improved its specular a bit.
* Improved smoothing as well as fixed smoothing errors when using Kobra sights.
--- OTs-14 "Groza" ---
- New texture with less compression artifacts and heavily improved details, showing worn and used parts.
- New bumpmap, the old one was completely broken and dysfunctional, this one offers proper depth.
--- Heavily improved the specular map by not being flat, it's now shiny like the real gun while still having visible worn details.
--- Improved specular for the 7.62x39 magazine that the Nimble variant uses.
- This also includes changes to the PO4x34 scope.
* Improved smoothing, this will be especially noticeable on the Receiver's stamps and the Grenade Launcher.
--- AS Val ---
- New texture that has no compression artefacts (that is, too much green or purple on the metal for example)
--- Also has much more vibrant and improved color for the polymer.
--- Better appearance for all metallic components.
- New bumpmap that fixes all the broken normals it has, enhances depth and sharpens corners.
--- Also has a much better specular, making it look more metallic but also worn and unkempt, still pretty.
* Fixed smoothing errors when using Kobra sights.
--- VSS Vintorez ---
- New texture that has no compression artefacts (that is, too much green or purple on the metal for example)
--- Also has much more vibrant, brighter, improved and realistic color for the wood.
--- Better appearance for all metallic components, such as having rough scratches here and there due to use.
- New bumpmap that fixes all the broken normals it has, enhances depth and sharpens corners.
--- Also has a much better specular, that respects how metal, wood and plastic shines like. Gives quite a good but not overdone shine to the wood, while keeping the metal just as shiny and worn.
- Variant 2 now uses a clean polymer stock, with Plum coloured furniture. Also has a very pristine, bright metallic look.
* Fixed smoothing errors when using Kobra sights.
--- VSK-94 ---
- Completely redid the texture, adding details such as Wear&Tear and much better colour to the metal.
--- This also includes the Buttstock, adding a lot of detail to it and removing that unfit ugly "brown" colour it had.
- Completely new bumpmap, with proper depth to it.
--- Completely redid the specular, it's now shiny but also unkempt, the polymer itself is a bit matte yet still shows signs of being worn and used.
* Completely redid the smoothing of the mesh, edge by edge.
*** Also fixed the mesh accuracy a bit, for example, the firemode was set to "Safe", now it's set to Full Auto.
--- SR-3M "Vihr" ---
- Not much has been changed, it looks good as it is. Only change is on the Normal Map to make it less compressed.
- Redid the Silencer's normal map and gave it a better specular that should fit well with the gun itself.
* Fixed smoothing errors on the model, this is especially relevant on the Silencer, which would make a weird "shockwave" kind of shine before.

FUTURE PLANS

There is the AS VAL (Alternative) and the VSS Vintorez "Tide" to do, but I don't particularly want to since they're exactly the same but with models and textures made by another man other than SAM61. Instead, I might make a complete model and balance change, making these weapons use custom magazines.
Otherwise, I would consider this mod done, but if there's popular request, I'll overhaul it to also balance the guns (not just those two), further improve and change meshes and perhaps even give it different unique animations.

Not compatible with mods that change the texture or mesh of mentioned guns.
If you are using any "Re-Animation" mod, these require mesh changes, in which case load them last or above/before this mod.
Other than that, fully compatible with everything else.

Yes because there's no changes to any config files.
- "I have some weapon mod from Gungslinger and it doesn't seem to be compatible?"
And it won't be because the texture's UV Map (how the texture is shown in the game) is completely changed.
Best way to fix this would be to merge the vanilla Anomaly mesh with the Gunslinger rig, which I'm unlikely to do.

Apologies for the preview, it's not the best, the bolt looks like a messy psychodrug experience with how shiny and reflective it is, but in-game it should look fantastic.

Looks like the texture is set up completely different too, not gonna make a compatibility patch for it or whatever, too much work for nothing.
Is this mod intended to play with ES? I have the better bizom but looks like there are some parts that are really dark that seems like texture missing, thats why i wonder if youre intended to play with enhanced shaders to enjoy those beautys

All my mods are made with vanilla shaders and ES in mind, I even may have an addon that will make use of ES' amazing "Metallic" shader, which yes this mod has it.
It is like those videos "rusted gun restoration" but it's in a video game Fantastic work.
Not wanting to be a dude like "hey do that and this... blablabla" but there will be many good mods released soon, from people i'm currently working with.
Sometimes texture update / recoloring maybe, could be welcome.
But through my ignorance i know that maybe you already have much work already ahead of you.

Yes, although DX8 itself does not support the normal map, meaning you won't see depth on the gun, you will still benefit from the better main texture itself.
With DX9, I think you'll only have a slightly worse specular (shine) but that's it, it should look good still.

Автор,спасибо,визуализация текстур улучшилась.Не знаю как переведёт ГУГЛ,но попробую объяснить.Ваш мод ставится после BaS и CEMENT,поэтому он их перезаписывает.В результате размеры моделей оружий и их расположение относительно игрока становятся разными у разных моделей.Если пользоваться всю игру одним оружием,то ладно.Но при смене оружия на другой тип-это бросается в глаза.Ели ваш мод поставить до указанных модов,то они переписывают ваш мод,тогда его смысл никчёмен.Понятно ли?

CEMENT is the mod that changes how Viewmodels look, right? Well then, with CEMENT it should be an easy config merge, use WinMerge to help you with that.
It's likely BaS can also be merged through configs, use WinMerge as well.
