Simply amazing. I enjoyed playing it. I found this mod by sheer luck while browsing moddb recent updated mods. The mod's picture caught my attention and thank goodness it did.
Really atmospheric and has a surreal vibe. The attention of details - especially around the office areas and apartment - is really great as well. All textures blend well with other HL ones and doesn't feel out of place or playing a different game, at least for me. I also love those homage to classic games, especially silent hill 4 which is my favorite SH.
I played this mod with xash3d and texture filtering off.
This is how you remake a game. I've had a lot of fun playing Redux, primarily because it is a significant improvement over the original. While the original game is enjoyable, Redux enhances the experience. You should definitely buy this game if you haven't already.

The mod is ok most of the times but theres a lot of bugs and some of the new enemy ai is bad.
Oh and some of the weapons are broken
Great mod. I like the work done on each faction in it. The factions have become better developed and have gained more uniqueness. All improvements do not stand out from the general surroundings.

Since the mod is discontinued, Honestly, I thought this mod was pretty bad, to begin with
First, The author's Grammar is horrible, "But Cascade Resonance is bombed the Black Mesa. And Michael go followed in Gordon's steps" ??? this sentence sounds like I just woke up from getting kidnapped, it's possibly due to the lack of English the author knows about so he has to translate that on Google Translate (which does not do that good with translating)
Second, The Mod was all over the place, the author put the mod's release date to 2031! why? because he could not figure out the release date properly, you could just... put it into Early Access mode? (Early Access: October 1st 2023) so... yeah.
Third, The Mapping choice was.. questionable, and I don't think the author knows what Goldsource's logic is... it's easy to get soft-locked, and when you noclipped out of the map you would see very odd textures, possibly due to the author knowing how to fix an LEAK (it is really easy just follow the lines if you are using the jackhammer editor)
Lastly, I don't really know if the author paid enough attention to fix some issues told by the players, the only thing I know he fixed is the "2031 Release Date" stuff but I don't think he took some time to fix the errors.
So yeah, here we are, He will probably ignore this just like the people that reviewed it. or is he just going to question one of the bugs listed here? I "think" he edited his comment on Boxxled's channel saying "Please pin this" I don't think he ever did lol
So please, don't ignore this, This mod has like... some potential in it, just take your time learning mapping and LEAKS and over errors and how to overcome them, alright ill stop yapping now.

Pretty cool mod. Overall score: 7.7
Gameplay leans towards the easier side. The Pripyat sequence was pretty cool. Ending is abrupt but hinting at a sequel. Anomalies are deadly. A few quests are a bit buggy.
The worst one in particular was the medic supplies quest in Yanov which introduces heavy stuttering unless you complete it (Don't know why). The other one was the quest in the room with the big railgun which makes the lab entrance door get closed again if you quicksave inside it.
Also the only way to get one batery artifact was to sleep the maximum hours 4 times just to make it spawn around the electro anomalies.
I like the implementation of BF3 gun sounds. The mossberg shotgun has a weird delay before firing.
